by Paul Joseph Watson
Info Wars

Joe Biden’s campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon has asserted that, “Under no scenario will Donald Trump be declared a victor on election night.”

The quote was tweeted by New York Times national political reporter Shane Goldmacher.

New from Biden campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon: “Under no scenario will Donald Trump be declared a victor on election night”

[…] The comment was made shortly after the Trump campaign issued a mass email asserting that the Biden campaign was planning to rig the election by not accepting defeat.

Is New York City Down for the Count? with Michael Fischer

from Kerry Lutz's Financial Survival Network

New York has seen a precipitous slide recently. Hotel occupancy rates are down to under 10%. 90% of restaurants are behind on their rent. Criminal justice enforcement has been all but done away with. Civil unrest could well break out after the election. This is a real test of the City’s long-term survival. Michael Fischer has been speaking out against #KillerCuomo and #ComradeDiBlasio, and their refusal to uphold law and order. Time will tell.

Mystery Brit Gambler Bets $5 Million on Donald Trump Election Victory in the “Largest Political Wager Ever Made”

by Harry Cole
The Sun, UK

A MYSTERY British businessman has bet $5 MILLION on a Donald Trump victory at 37/20 — believed to be the largest political punt ever made.

The rich former-banker who is based offshore used a private bookies registered on the tiny Caribbean island Curacao for his risky gamble on today’s US presidential election.

A pal of the fluttering financiar said he had consulted with “Trump camp insiders” before making the high risk bet that could net him a cheque of almost $15million on 2.85 return.

A betting industry source told The Sun: “Word of this bet has done the rounds and we think it’s the biggest ever made on politics.”

But the mystery punter was not alone in a last minute flurry of bets for the White House incumbent.

Ladbrokes said 3 in 4 of all bets for Trump in the final week of campaign.

America After the Election: A Few Hard Truths About the Things That Won’t Change

by John W. Whitehead
The Rutherford Institute

“If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.” – George Orwell

The American people remain eager to be persuaded that a new president in the White House can solve the problems that plague us.

Yet no matter who wins this presidential election, you can rest assured that the new boss will be the same as the old boss, and we—the permanent underclass in America—will continue to be forced to march in lockstep with the police state in all matters, public and private.

Indeed, it really doesn’t matter what you call them—the Deep State, the 1%, the elite, the controllers, the masterminds, the shadow government, the police state, the surveillance state, the military industrial complex—so long as you understand that no matter which party occupies the White House in 2021, the unelected bureaucracy that actually calls the shots will continue to do so.

A Bigger Story Than the Election Itself

by James Rickards
Daily Reckoning

Tomorrow’s the big election we’ve been anticipating for months. It’s not an exaggeration to say that this is the most important presidential election since the 1860 election that put Abraham Lincoln in office, leading to the Civil War.

So, who’s going to win?

Those paying attention to the pre-election frenzy know the polls are all over the place. As recently as this past weekend, a New York Times poll showed Trump behind Biden by 6 points in Pennsylvania, while the Trafalgar Poll showed Trump ahead by 1 point in the same state.

Whom should you believe? You can start by asking yourself who got things right in 2016 and 2018.

Taibbi: The Worst Choice Ever

from Zero Hedge

My colleagues at Rolling Stone recently endorsed Joe Biden for president:

Biden’s lived experience and expansive empathy make him not just a good, but an outstanding candidate… This is a fight between light and darkness…

Joe Biden is a corpse with hair plugs whose idea of “empathy” is to jam fingers in the sternums of people who ask the wrong questions, or call them “fat” or “full of shit,” or dare them to “try me” — and that’s if he remembers what state he’s in. Is he a better human than Donald Trump? Probably, but his mental decline has hit Lloyd Bridges-in-Hot-Shots! levels and he shares troubling characteristics with the president, beginning with a pathological struggle with truth.

Covid-19 Coronavirus: ‘Bleak Midwinter’ in Europe as 250 Million Face Lockdown

by Benedict Brook
New Zealand Herald

More than a quarter of a billion Europeans are now in, or facing, fresh lockdowns after a second wave of Covid-19 deluged the continent.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson grudgingly announced on the weekend that the 55 million residents of England would head into a four-week lockdown – even as some Brits headed off to Spain for autumn holidays.

The UK nations of Wales and Northern Island are already in lockdown and Scotland has warned it may be forced to ramp up restrictions following the move in England.

Britain joins a host of other nations, including France, Germany, Greece, Belgium, Ireland, Austria and the Czech Republic, in imposing new lockdowns.

What Took So Long? After Years of Brick & Mortar Meltdown Punctuated by the Pandemic, Two Mall REITs File for Bankruptcy

by Wolf Richter
Wolf Street

CBL and Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust were both toast long before the Pandemic. The banks are stuck.

Two publicly traded mall landlords filed for bankruptcy on Sunday: CBL & Associates Properties and Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust. Long before the filing, the shares of these REITs were reduced to near-nothing, and CBL’s unsecured bonds were totally trashed in 2019.

CBL Properties, which owns 107 properties with a total of 66.7 million square feet of space, in 26 states, announced this morning that “CBL & Associates Properties, Inc., CBL & Associates Limited Partnership (the “Operating Partnership”), and certain other related entities” had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. On its balance sheet as of June 30, it lists total debt of $3.8 billion.

Trump Warns Biden Will Destroy Washington Monument, Christmas, Easter, Suburbs, Borders, and the American Dream

The president’s warnings about the destructive potential of a Democratic White House should make us skeptical of the powers of the executive—not just the person who wields them.

by Christian Britschgi
Reason.com

There’s no telling where the destruction wrought by a President Joe Biden would end. Not even our most prized obelisks would be safe.

On Monday afternoon, President Donald Trump’s campaign tweeted out a screenshot of an imagined future CNN report from the “D.C. Autonomous Zone” where the demolition of the Washington Monument is well underway. “This would be Joe Biden’s America,” the caption reads.

The tweet is perhaps meant as a bit of tongue-in-cheek hyperbole. (By the Trump campaign’s standards, it’s even relatively charitable to CNN in depicting the network neutrally covering urban unrest.)

It’s nevertheless in keeping with the dark closing message of Trump’s campaign: A Democrat-controlled White House will use the immense power of the Oval Office to remake America.

Democrats Have Outsmarted Themselves on Mail-In Voting and on Election Eve Are Having a Wile E. Coyote Moment

by Thomas Lifson
American Thinker

A sickening feeling is spreading among some of the smarter Democrats that they have royally screwed up their election strategy. The plan that seemed so smart, once they realized that COVID was a golden opportunity to distract from President Trump’s massive foreign policy and economic triumphs, is backfiring.

The plan, in short, was to terrorize Americans with fear porn over the purported dangers of COVID (despite it being 99%+ survivable for all but those over 70, and despite huge progress in therapeutics driving the survival rate even higher), while emphasizing mail-in voting for their base. Republicans, they thought, could be discouraged from in-person voting on Election Day, and with compliant state governors, A.G.s, and secretaries of state extending deadlines for mail-in votes, the margin of victory could be manufactured in the days afterward.

Death by Lockdown

by Jeffrey A. Tucker
The American Institute for Economic Research

On March 28 – very early in the pandemic – AIER published an article that I felt at the time received far too little attention. “Drugs, Suicide, and Crime: Empirical Estimates of the Human Toll of the Shutdown” by economists Audrey and Thomas Duncan cited empirical literature on the human toll of economic devastation.

This article forecasted more than 100,000 excess deaths due to drug overdoses, suicide, alcoholism, homicide, and untreated depression – all a result not of the virus but of policies of mandatory human separation, economic downturn, business and school closures, closed medical services, and general depression that comes with a loss of freedom and choice.

These two economists demonstrated that as bad as a virus is, policies that wreck normal social functioning will cause massive and completely unnecessary suffering and death.

University Offers Whites-Only Space Where Students Can Learn How They Oppress Nonwhites

[Ed. Note: Apply now, and you too can have life-long student loan debts to mark the time you spent in “higher education.”]

by Damjan Tutarkov
LaCorte News

A private university in Massachusetts is creating so-called “affinity spaces” for white students in order to raise awareness about white privilege and systemic racism.

Brandeis University’s Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) is creating “white affinity group spaces” that will provide optional “anti-racist” training for students and faculty members, the university announced on its website.

The training will consist of three anti-racism learning sessions within three weeks where participants will learn “what it means to be a White Ally and how to move to Accomplice.”

Participants will talk to each other and Brandeis’ “racial justice educator” Joy von Steiger, who devised the training, about “allyship culminating in the creation of your personal action plan to move from Ally to Accomplice.”

Government Worldwide Incompetence

Please consider what the highly-respected author of ‘Black Swan’ has to say about Covid Incompetence and Denial.

Six Key Ideas

1. “I think this is a case study of government worldwide incompetence in dealing with a problem and denial,” said Taleb, whose bestselling 2007 book warned of highly improbable events and their potential for severe consequences.

Three States Libertarian Voters May Decide

by Tho Bishop
Mises.org

For a short period of time, America’s libertarian moment was a go-to topic for political pundits in a variety of publications. Since 2016, the role of libertarians in political discourse has tended to devolve away from a relevant political demographic into a weird scapegoat for the Left and Right. From the left, pundits—assisted by a certain clique of Beltway-dwelling libertarians—have focused on an alleged “libertarian to alt-right pipeline.” Interestingly, a group that often mocked “conspiracy theorists” in the movement suddenly found Nazis behind every speech promoting political decentralization and social cooperation.

Meanwhile, a new generation of right thought leaders, including Tucker Carlson and Steve Bannon, identified libertarians and “Austrian economics” as a major driver in what they saw as a corporate takeover of American government.

‘Breaking With All Norms’: White House Slams Fauci Over WaPo Interview Criticizing U.S. Pandemic Preparedness

by Tim Pearce
Daily Wire

The White House blasted Dr. Anthony Fauci in a statement late Saturday after the federal health expert criticized White House health adviser Scott Atlas and said the U.S. was “in for a world of hurt” from the pandemic in the winter.

Fauci spoke to The Washington Post on Friday and said that the U.S. government was unprepared to do what it should to mitigate the impact of the coronavirus during the fall and winter. Fauci is the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and had a heavy influence in shaping the U.S. response to the pandemic early on.
