Finance and economic expert Alasdair Macleod says a new rule change at the Bank of International Settlements (BIS), aka the central bank of central bankers, is going to help drive the price of gold and many other commodities higher. The new rule is called “Net Stable Funding Requirement” (NSFR). It goes into effect by the end of June in Europe and by the end of the year in the UK where the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) operates the biggest gold trading platform in the world. The short story is this new BIS rule is going to stop paper contracts from conjuring supply of gold, silver and many other commodities out of thin air. Macleod says, “That’s what they do, and that is what is going to be stopped. For a long time . . . I think the American government has encouraged the growth of paper alternatives to gold in order to take demand away from the real stuff. . . .They said to the Bank of International Settlements that we can’t have another Lehman Brothers. So, what’s happened? They have come up with regulations to help insure we won’t have another Lehman. . . . I think the real big, big change is going to be in the second half of this year.”

After digging through a collection of files collated by Lawrence P. Grayson, who was the Advisor for Mathematics, Science and Technology at America’s National Institute of Education (NIE), I discovered that the Department of Ed’s Project BEST (Basic Education Skills through Technology), which Iserbyt leaked in 1981, was actually the USA’s domestic version of an international technology initiative spearheaded by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

A common argument from skeptics of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is that governments will eventually move to control the digital cash to limit competition with the U.S. dollar and other fiat currencies. This has been JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon’s stance on bitcoin for a number of years, and Bridgewater Associates founder Ray Dalio reiterated this risk in a prerecorded interview first broadcast during a bitcoin industry conference on May 24 (although he also revealed that he owns some of the crypto asset).
Despite some high-profile commentary calling for a cryptocurrency ban, we seem to be a long way off from President Joe Biden signing an executive order that bans the private ownership of bitcoin (as President Franklin D. Roosevelt did with gold). But there has been increased discussion of tracking and regulating what’s going on in the bitcoin ecosystem. Of course, the state of bitcoin regulation could always change in the future, but here’s where things stand now.

Stockholm Syndrome is a psychological phenomenon where “hostages or abuse victims bond with their captors and abusers.” This bonding can occur over days, weeks, or months of captivity and abuse. Rather than being terrorized by their captors, hostages sympathize with them, developing positive feelings, sharing common goals and causes, and essentially falling in love with their captors.
The story behind the Stockholm Syndrome is a 1973 six-day hostage event in a Swedish bank. By the second day, “the hostages were on a first-name basis with their captors, and they started to fear the police more than their abductors.” By the end of the hostage crisis, “the convicts and hostages embraced, kissed and shook hands.”
A modern-day version of the Stockholm Syndrome is playing out after over a year of COVID captivity.

Terrorism, Homicide Prosecutors Will Try Capitol Riot Defendants for Crimes Like Trespassing

High-profile prosecutors from more than a dozen U.S. states and Puerto Rico are being rallied to try alleged participants in the Jan. 6. riot on a range of charges, including trespassing.
The U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C. has called prosecutors from his office who specialize in different areas, including the Violent Crime Narcotics Trafficking Section, Homicide Section, Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section, Sex Offense and Domestic Violence Section, and Major Crimes Section, according to court records obtained and reviewed by Daily Wire investigative reporter Mairead McArdle.
The documents show that among those attorneys is Steven Ward, an attorney with the Justice Department’s (DOJ) counterterrorism section.
One case Ward has prosecuted involved a New York City resident who was convicted of supporting the Islamic State.

Recently, Joe Rogan, one of the largest podcast hosts in the United States (10.6 million YouTube subscribers), expressed the following opinion about the vaccination of young adults:
If you are 21 and ask me if you should get the vaccine, I would say “no”. If you are a healthy person and exercise all the time, and are young and eat well, I don’t think you have to worry about this.
This comment created a furor in the United States, where the government’s target is vaccination of the entire adult population. For these few sentences he received a sharp reprimand from the White House and Dr. Fauci, who accused Rogan of being selfish and endangering vulnerable members of society.
Given the very low covid risk for this age group, Rogan’s comments seem to make some sense. Wouldn’t it be more altruistic, rather than selfish, to let a vaccine dose first go to someone who needs it more? Either way, such criticism is ludicrous when it comes from a government that so often acts contrary to the interests of society.

Biden made the remark during a speech Tuesday commemorating the 1921 Tulsa race massacre in Oklahoma.
“According to the intelligence community, terrorism from white supremacy is the most lethal threat to the homeland today,” Biden told the crowd.

Biden is referring to a DHS memo released in October 2020 claiming that white supremacists are the “most persistent and lethal threat” to America.
