In Bizarre Interview, Biden Jokes He Would ‘Fake Illness and Resign’ Over Disagreement

from Zero Hedge

Joe Biden may have just said the quiet part out loud.

During a Thursday CNN interview with Kamala Harris, Biden was asked about his relationship with his running mate, to which he gave a rambling reply capped off with the most awkward of ‘jokes’: that under certain circumstances he’d fake an illness and resign.

“It’s a matter of, the thing – we are simpatico on our philosophy of government. Sympatico on how we want to approach these issues that we’re facing. And when we disagree, it’ll be just like so far, it’s been just like when Barack and I did. It’s in private, she’ll say ‘I think you should do A, B, C or D,’ and I’ll say ‘I like A, I don’t like B and C, and s’go OK…’

Follow the Science (Except When the Results are Inconvenient)

by Brian C. Joondeph, M.D.
American Thinker

During the COVID pandemic, much science is at play, treated either as gospel or hate speech, enough for science professionals to lose their jobs or be suspended from social media platforms if their views are inconvenient to the establishment’s narrative.

The all-knowing, all-caring, anointed guru of all things COVID, Dr Anthony Fauci, has been wrong at least as often as he has been right, with a predictive value of a coin flip. Yet any scientific utterance from him is treated in the media as a scientific law, on par with gravity, as long he speaks convenient science.

The CDC and WHO also have a long string of flip flops regarding the Wuhan flu. Were they following the science when they made their incorrect pronouncements? Or were they sticking a finger in the air, following the political winds?

Donald Trump: A Street-Fighting Man

by Alan Draper
Real Clear Politics

Politics is like boxing. Prize fighters maneuver and look for weaknesses to attack within a set of rules that are designed to protect them and limit mayhem within the ring. But Donald Trump is not a boxer performing in the ring by a sanctioned set of rules. He is a street fighter who flouts the rules. He showed Republicans they can win by breaking the conventions that set limits on party conflict — limits that protect us by preventing party competition from dissolving into civic turmoil.

After the 2012 elections that gave President Obama a second term in the White House, the Republican National Committee did an autopsy, “The Growth and Opportunity Project,” to examine why Republicans lost to Obama. Again. The party concluded that it needed to do a better job appealing to Hispanics, Blacks, Asians, and gays if it wanted to be competitive in the future. The GOP needed to modernize its program to attract growing segments of the American electorate.

Georgia Governor Kemp Says He Supports Audit After Video Emerges

by Penka Arsova
LaCorte News

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) expressed support for conducting a signature audit in the state, citing new allegations of election fraud.

The new allegations: Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s lawyer, presented surveillance footage at a recent hearing before the Georgia Senate Judiciary subcommittee that indicated election irregularities. The clip showed a worker at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, pulling out boxes of alleged ballots after poll watchers had left. The election officials allegedly continued to count the ballots for hours without any supervision.

According to CBS46.com, there were six boxes in, each containing around 6,000 ballots. That would bring the total to about 24,000 ballots counted in the absence of election observers.

OCC Says JPMorgan Chase Has $29.1 Trillion of Custody Assets; That’s $8 Trillion More than the Assets of All Banks in the U.S.

by Pam Martens and Russ Martens
Wall Street on Parade

On November 24 the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) fined JPMorgan Chase $250 million for wrongdoing that was apparently too deplorable to be spoken out loud to the public. The specific details were cloaked in this phrase: “failure to maintain adequate internal controls and internal audit over its fiduciary business.”

We went to the OCC’s Consent Order connected to the fine to see if there were the typical smoking gun internal emails or at least some clue as to what the actual illegal activity was. There were zero clues, just more obfuscation. What we did see, however, was a dollar figure that popped our eyes wide open. The OCC Consent Order said this:

“The Bank maintains one of the world’s largest and most complex fiduciary businesses with total fiduciary and related assets of $29.1 trillion, including $1.3 trillion in fiduciary assets and $27.8 trillion of non-fiduciary custody assets.”

Junk Bond Yields Hit Record Low: Most Distorted Markets Ever

from Wolf Street

Well, not markets. Fed-managed paper exchange.

Never mind the Pandemic or the huge blob of corporate debt that even the Fed publicly fretted about before the Pandemic, only to do everything it could to fatten up this huge blob of corporate debt even further during the Pandemic. And never mind the credit risks – the risk of default and bankruptcy – that this corporate debt poses. And never mind that entire over-indebted industries saw their revenues collapse. Come to mind airlines, cruise lines, mall retailers, mall landlords, restaurant chains, hotels, hotel landlords, movie theater chains, or of course the entire shale oil-and-gas sector. And just don’t worry about the risk of inflation and the existence of inflation. Just never mind any of this, because, I mean, it just doesn’t matter: Junk bond yields have dropped to a record low.

Can Employers Fire Any Employees That Choose Not to Take the Covid Vaccine?

by Michael Snyder
The Economic Collapse Blog

A COVID vaccine is not even available yet, but the mainstream media is already full of stories about whether or not it is legal for employers to fire employees that refuse to take it. To me, this is not even a debate that we should be having. It would be fundamentally anti-American and morally reprehensible for any employer to fire someone for choosing not to get vaccinated. Unfortunately, the mainstream media does not see things that way, and they are interviewing lots of legal experts that are assuring employers that it is perfectly legal to fire people that don’t want to get vaccinated. For example, the following comes from a CNBC article…

“In general, yes, employers are able to mandate the vaccine when it becomes available with, of course, a bunch of caveats,” says employment lawyer Lindsay Ryan, listing possible exemptions for those with specific medical conditions and those with sincerely held religious convictions.

90 year old nursing home resident chooses assisted suicide over another lockdown

A Canadian woman, Nancy Russel, was as healthy as a 90 year old could be.

But she chose to die rather than go through another lockdown at her nursing home, and the isolation which comes with it.

Canada does not require a terminal illness in order to qualify for medically assisted suicide. But still, the first time Nancy applied she was denied.

The Economic Implications of a Colossal Infrastructure Funding Deficit

As a general rule, the most successful man in life is the man who has the best information

by Richard (Rick) Mills
Ahead of the Herd

Unprecedented times call for unprecedented measures. As the saying goes, governments around the globe have taken drastic action to support their respective economies in the wake of the pandemic.

Within the first two months of the crisis, more than $10 trillion in relief packages were announced worldwide. This was three times more than the response to the 2008-2009 financial crisis.

As the leading world power, the US has already injected nearly 14% of last year’s GDP to rejuvenate its economy, according to Statista. This equates to about $3 trillion in money being printed.

Durham Seeks Jail Time for Ex-FBI Lawyer Who Altered CIA Email About Carter Page

by Chuck Ross
DailyCaller.com

U.S. Attorney John Durham is seeking a prison sentence of up to six months for Kevin Clinesmith, the former FBI lawyer who pleaded guilty to altering an email from the CIA regarding former Trump campaign aide Carter Page’s past relationship with the spy agency.

Durham asked a federal judge in a court filing on Thursday to sentence Clinesmith to a jail term “between the middle and upper end” of what federal sentencing guidelines recommend for the crime of making false statements in writing.

Clinesmith pleaded guilty to the charge on Aug. 19. He admitted to adding the phrase “not a ‘source’” to a June 2017 email from a CIA employee who had provided information about Page’s relationship with the agency.

Page served as an “operational contact” for the CIA from 2008 to 2013.

Chief Medical Officer Says Canadians Who Refuse Vaccine Won’t Have “Freedom to Move Around”

Suggests those who don’t take the shot will have to wear masks.

by Paul Joseph Watson
Info Wars

Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer says that those who refuse to take the COVID vaccine won’t have “freedom to move around” and will have to continue to wear masks.

Dr. David Williams was asked if he “would make some sort of mandatory vaccination recommendation.”

Williams acknowledged that “we can’t force someone to take a vaccine,” but when on to explain how people who didn’t take it would have their freedom of mobility severely restricted.

“What we can do is to say sometimes for access or ease of getting into certain settings, if you don’t have vaccination then you’re not allowed into that setting without other protection materials,” said Williams.

How Much Fraud Was There?

by James Rickards
Daily Reckoning

I predicted that Trump would win a close election. I didn’t have the same conviction as I did in 2016, but I still gave him the slight edge while allowing for the real possibility of a Biden victory.

That wasn’t trying to have it both ways. It’s just that there were so many wild cards involved that made it exceptionally difficult to nail.

What happened?

Well, I was correct about it being a close election. I was correct about the acrimony and litigation around issues like mail-in ballots, dead people voting, etc. And, I was correct that the winner might not be declared for weeks.

The Christmas Lockdowns Are Here, but Not for Those Who Ordered Them

Some of our leaders know Christmas is bigger than them, so they’re trying hard to cancel it.

by Tucker Carlson
FOX News

Christmas is almost here. Usually, it’s the happiest time that we have. This year of all years, Christmas has a deeper resonance, something closer to its original meaning. In a time of crisis, you inevitably start thinking about the things you might ignore if you were busier and more content.

In general, people tend to become more spiritual, more openly religious when they’re suffering. It’s not an accident, in fact, it may be the upside of suffering. You get to think beyond the next Amazon delivery for a minute.

Of course, not everyone is in favor of all the focus on the big, enduring things — like our families, what’s true and what’s not true, eternity itself. All of that tends to diminish the power of the people in charge of our temporal world. For obvious reasons, we take our leaders less seriously when we’re reminded that they’re people just like we are. They, too, will pass. Death is inevitable. That may be the one thing you’re not allowed to say in this country, but it’s still true, and maybe we should pause before we destroy the living in the name of trying to eliminate it.

The Displacement of the Straight White Male

by Dr. Paul Craig Roberts
PaulCraigRoberts.org

The Nasdaq stock exchange has told its listed companies that they must appoint to their boards a “self-identified” female and a lesbian or transgender or some other sexual deviant or be delisted from the stock exchange. https://www.rt.com/usa/508359-nasdaq-diversity-quotas-lgbt-women/

Think about this. A stock exchange has no right to structure the corporate boards of the companies listed on the exchange. That decision is for the boards and the shareholders of the companies. It is none of Nasdaq’s business. If a company’s shareholders and board think that having sexual deviants on their boards would improve the company’s performance, they can search out such people who might make a good board member. But it is none of Nasdaq’s business.
