Senator Tim Scott Rebutted Biden’s Joint Address, Then Twitter Allowed a Racist Insult to Trend Overnight

by Jordan Lancaster
DailyCaller.com

After Republican South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott gave a speech in response to President Joe Biden’s address to a joint session of Congress Wednesday night, “Uncle Tim” trended on Twitter — despite the trend appearing to violate the platform’s policies.

According to Twitter’s policy on trends, a topic may be prevented from trending if it violates the Twitter rules. One of those rules includes the “hateful conduct policy.”

“You may not promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease,” the hateful conduct policy reads. “You also may not use your username, display name, or profile bio to engage in abusive behavior, such as targeted harassment or expressing hate towards a person, group, or protected category.”

Arizona School Board Bolts as Parents Protest Decision to Keep Mask Mandate

by Dr. Susan Berry
Breitbart.com

More than a hundred parents arrived at the Vail Unified School District meeting Tuesday night to urge the Arizona board to lift its mask mandate, only to find school board members had suddenly canceled the meeting, claiming safety concerns due to the parents’ rally.

Parents intended to object to the school board’s decision to keep a coronavirus mask mandate in place, despite Gov. Doug Ducey’s (R) executive order on April 19 that lifted the mask mandate in K-12 schools.

According to the Election Wizard website:

Is This the Endgame for Cryptocurrencies?

by Stephen Flood
GoldCore

For the last two weeks, cryptos were down and gold was up. This has been the case in just 4 of the 17 weeks since January 1, 2021. It’s really a time to think, is this the endgame for cryptocurrencies? However, Gold peaked on August 6, 2020, and is down 14% percent to US$1784.15 per ounce on April 27, 2021. Over this same time, bitcoin rallied 363%. Bitcoin has greatly benefited from great social media hyping. The biggest hyper is Elon Musk whose Tesla Company sold some of its bitcoin holdings last month but told no one until this week. The hype has been strong. So strong that it has drawn money from metals into crypto.

Bitcoin sales by Tesla grabbed headlines but is not the only crypto warning sign in the past 7 days. The government of Turkey has banned cryptocurrency as a payment of services in the country.

Politician Tests Positive for Covid After Two Pfizer Shots

by Mac Slavo
SHTF Plan

A member of the ruling class has tested positive for COVID after getting 2 doses of the Pfizer experimental gene therapy shot. Representative Alma Hernandez from Arizona says even after taking the shots, she continued to take all precautions, such as wearing a mask, washing her hands, and practicing social distancing.

COVID-19 mRNA Shots Are Legally Not Vaccines

And she still got COVID. Does anyone want to ask what’s going on? If all of those precautions work, how did someone, fully vaccinated, washing their hands religiously, wearing a mask, and social distancing contract the dreaded COVID-19? Anyone else ready to call this a scamdemic yet?

Are Face Masks & COVID Rituals Occultist Symbols For Submission?

U.K.: Christian Pastor Arrested for Saying Marriage is Between a Man and a Woman

71-year-old released without charge after spending night in jail.

by Paul Joseph Watson
Info Wars

A Christian pastor in the UK was arrested by police after a member of the public reported him for the “homophobic” comment of saying that marriage was between a man and a woman.

Yes, really.

The incident occurred outside Uxbridge Station in west London. A video clip shows the elderly pastor being confronted by police and forcefully handcuffed before being led away.

“I wasn’t making any homophobic comments, I was just defining marriage as a relationship between a man and a woman. I was only saying what the Bible says – I wasn’t wanting to hurt anyone or cause offence,” said John Sherwood, who has been a pastor for 35 years.

“I was doing what my job description says, which is to preach the gospel in open air as well as in a church building,” he added.

Gold is Laughing at Powell

from King World News

One of the greats in the business says gold is laughing at Powell.

Gold is Laughing at Powell

April 29 (King World News) – Matthew Piepenburg at Matterhorn Asset Management (based in Switzerland): Recently, my colleague, Egon von Greyerz, and I had some unabashed yet blunt fun calling out the staggering levels of open hypocrisy and policy desperation unleashed by former Fed Chairman, Alan Greenspan.

Poor Alan was an easy target of what I described as the “patient zero” of the reckless interest rate suppression and unbridled monetary expansion policies of the Fed which have always led to equally reckless boom and bust cycles in markets and economies.

Trillion Energy is Still a Screaming Bargain

from Kerry Lutz's Financial Survival Network

After my last discussion with Trillion Energy (sponsor) CEO Art Halleran, I concluded that TCFF is the most undervalued stock in which I’ve invested in for the past 40 years. While the stock price has recently gone up nicely, I’m of the opinion that things are only just getting started. Art has masterfully negotiated a $17.5 financing facility that provides for an overriding royalty and a lending component, of which a small part is convertible into company shares. Thus he has avoided the major pitfall of so many junior resource stocks, destructive dilution. And Art had good reason, for the past four years he has taken his compensation in the form of shares. He’s a major holder of the stock, that’s how much he believes in Trillion. Now that the finance package will soon be closed on, Art is focusing on getting the drills in place to spud several new wells in the coveted SASB Gas Field. This will lead to major production and substantial cash flow. Let me repeat what I said before, “Trillion Energy is the best value play I have ever seen!”

What Will the Fed Do Next? with David Scranton

from Kerry Lutz's Financial Survival Network

David J. Scranton is an Amazon Bestselling Author, Money Manager, and founder of: Sound Income Strategies, The Retirement Income Store®, Advisors’ Academy, and Scranton Financial Group. The Fed its foot in their mouth by reassuring the markets that rates wouldn’t go higher until 2023. Now they’re in a bind, how can they insure rates won’t go higher when they might need to change things. The real question is, is this inflation, temporary or permanent. Lumber and copper are rocketing higher. Are they temporary, as the Fed says or will we go back to normal? They’re hoping against all hope that they’re right. It’s unprecedented, we’ve never before shut down the economy before. No one knows what the results might be. They’re waiting as long as possible before they tighten. If they do tighten, it might be inclined to slow down QE. Vacation travel is picking up dramatically and thus raising FL’s Covid rate. Where does the massive tilt to socialism end? It’s just a matter of time till the have nots vote to take everything from the haves.

Orefinders and Mistango River Resources to Receive $120 Million Investment from Premier Gold Miner

from Kerry Lutz's Financial Survival Network

Orefinders and Mistango Resources just announced a strategic partnership with major producer Kirkland Lake Gold that should propel the shares of both companies forward. Stephen Stewart, CEO of our sponsor Orefinders Resources and Chairman of Mistango River Resources joined us to explain the significance of the event. We were quite interested considering we’re an Orefinders shareholder. Stephen was excited to discuss the new JV agreement, option and equity investment that he believes is a transformational event for the companies. They’ve now got $15 million in cash along with a major technical boost from Kirkland’s renowned team which ideally situates them to make significant discovers.

While Stephen admits some of the potential upside was relinquished in the deal, he believes the benefits far out way the costs. We all know that mining is a very risky business and he views this transaction as a de-risking event.

Much of the Orefinders/Mistango projects adjoin Kirkland’s Flag Ship Macassa Mine, one of the highest-grade mines in the word, so the synergies are quite apparent. The earn-in aspect of the deal could see Kirkland owning up to 75% of both companies and insures that things will move forward to the benefit of all. Definitely exciting times for all three companies.

Unconstitutional Debt and Future Generations

by Andrew P. Napolitano
LewRockwell.com

Earlier this week, President Joseph R. Biden Jr. asked Congress to raise taxes and increase borrowing so his administration can spend $2.3 trillion — on top of the $1.9 trillion Congress authorized two months ago for so-called COVID relief — for thousands of projects he calls “infrastructure.” All this is in addition to the $2 trillion that the government borrows annually these days just to make ends meet.

These are serious numbers of dollars, the repayment of which will have seriously unpleasant consequences for future generations of Americans. Indeed, under Biden’s administration, the feds will borrow three times what they collect in taxes. This is not a new phenomenon, but it exacerbates the modern trend of spend now and pay later.

Under the Constitution, can the feds borrow as much as they want and can they spend it on anything they want? Here is the backstory.

One Bank Warns Soaring Food Prices Will Lead to Social Unrest

from Zero Hedge

Yesterday we explained why with prices already soaring, global inflation was about to go into overdrive as the leading food price indicator that is the Bloomberg Agri spot index hit the highest level in six years.

[…] In a nutshell, this is a problem since food is a large component of CPI baskets in Asia, and “this large inflationary impulse in the region that houses more than half the world’s population should result in higher wage costs in the factory base of the world. As CPI and PPI rise in Asia, it will feed through globally in the months ahead.”

Joe Biden Just Outlined the Most Expensive Agenda in Modern History. Progressives Want More.

“We need a Green New Deal for Public Housing,” says Rep. Jamaal Bowman. “We need a Green New Deal for Cities…and we need a Green New Deal for Public Schools.”

by Eric Boehm
Reason.com

In a joint address to Congress on Wednesday night, President Joe Biden outlined what can accurately be described as the most expensive and expansive agenda in modern American history.

Biden has proposed $6 trillion in new spending since taking office and has already signed $1.9 trillion in emergency spending related (loosely) to the COVID-19 pandemic. He wants to follow that with a huge infrastructure bill, a $15 national minimum wage, Buy American rules that offer protectionism for unions, and new entitlement programs—including a new child subsidy program for parents and a permanent expansion of Obamacare health insurance subsidies. He promised to raise taxes on the wealthy and to sic the IRS on rich people who don’t pay “their fair share.”

A few minutes after Biden wrapped up his remarks, Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D–N.Y.) said that’s not nearly enough.

Semiconductor Shortage Bites: Ford Cuts Q2 Production by 50%

by Wolf Richter
Wolf Street

Industry-wide issue “may not be fully resolved until 2022”

If an auto assembly plant runs out of just one component that couldn’t be delivered because the component maker had run out of one type of semiconductor – of the thousands of semiconductors that go into a modern vehicle – the vehicle cannot be built, or cannot be finished and sold, and production halts. That’s essentially the problem that the entire auto industry is now facing.

Ford, when it announced earnings this evening, shed more light on what the global semiconductor shortage, “made worse” by the fire in March at a plant of a semiconductor supplier in Japan, means in terms of lost vehicle production and lost dollars.

Woke Democrats Broke American Cities

by Jeff Crouere
American Thinker

Almost all of the largest cities in the United States are governed by hard-left Democrats. In fact, there is only one Republican mayor among the top 15 cities in the country and only three among the 30 largest cities.

All of the problems in our urban areas today are almost exclusively the result of the failed Democratic Party leadership. While previous generations of Democrats might have tried to find bipartisan solutions to longstanding problems, the party’s leaders in 2021 are woke leftists interested only in pushing their radical agenda.

The result has been outmigration, soaring crime rates, a drug epidemic, broken families, failing public schools, an increasing number of blighted properties, high poverty and unemployment rates, an obsession with a race-based agenda, and rising antipathy toward law enforcement officers. No wonder people are fleeing our cities in hopes of finding safety and a better quality of life.

‘What, Do You Think Deer Are Wearing Kevlar Vests?’ – Biden Gets Colorful in Calling for Gun Control

President’s line on deer and DuPont’s invention was not in his prepared remarks

[Ed. Note: Joe, did you think the second amendment was written for shooting at deer?]

by Victor Reklaitis
Market Watch

President Joe Biden on Wednesday night put the image of wildlife wearing body armor into Americans’ heads, as he continued to make his arguments for gun control.

He offered the following lines in his first speech before Congress:

‘Talk to most responsible gun owners and hunters — they’ll tell you there’s no possible justification for having a hundred rounds in a weapon. What, do you think deer are wearing Kevlar vests?’

The bit on deer and DuPont’s well-known invention hadn’t been included in Biden’s prepared remarks released by the White House.

Some viewers of the speech enjoyed the image:
