Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) chastised black voters who support President Trump, arguing that voting for the president does a disservice to the black community.
The story: Waters made the remarks during her interview on SiriusXM’s radio show “The Joe Madison Show” on Friday, where she discussed the presidential election. The congresswoman blasted President Trump, calling him a “deplorable human being” and “a racist” and sent a message to black people who intend to cast ballots for the president, saying she will “never ever forgive them.”
What she said: Waters said she does not understand why any black person would choose President Trump and suggested a doomsday scenario if he is re-elected.
“It just hurts me so bad to see blacks talking about supporting Trump. I don’t know why they would be doing it. I don’t know why it is on their minds, but if we don’t turn out this vote and turn it out huge, this man could end up winning again. And this country would go backwards,” she told the radio host.
