Pelosi Says ‘We’re Going to Be Talking About the 25th Amendment’ Regarding Trump’s Health

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Thursday that House Democrats will meet Friday to discuss the 25th Amendment that deals with the succession of the U.S. president in the event of his death, resignation, or inability to perform his duties.

Her remarks: “Tomorrow, by the way, tomorrow, come here tomorrow. We’re going to be talking about the 25th Amendment. But not to take attention away from the subject we have now,” Pelosi told reporters Thursday when asked about a coronavirus relief package.

“I think that the public needs to know the health condition of the President,” Pelosi said. “There’s one question that he refused to answer … when was his last negative test?” Pelosi said that this information is necessary in order to “make a judgment about the actions that were taken after that.”

“Let us see a date, a time when you last tested negative,” she added.
