Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN) campaign has paid more than $1 million to her current husband Tim Mynett’s political consulting firm, according to a report by Fox News.
The story: Back in March, LaCorte News reported Omar’s campaign had paid a total of $586,000 to Mynett’s E Street Group LLC between August 2018 and Dec. 2019 for various services including research, digital advertising, fundraising consulting, travel, and other expenses, as shown by Federal Election Commission (FEC) records.
[…] During that period, Omar was married to her estranged husband Ahmed Hirsi and Mynett to his now-former wife Beth Mynett.
However, reports surfaced last week that showed Omar’s campaign had continued pouring large sums of money into Mynett’s company, for a total of $878,930 since the two started working in 2018.
