Trump Parts Ways with Another White House Press Secretary, and She’ll Be Replaced by Multiple New Hires

White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham is leaving the West Wing to return to First Lady Melania Trump’s staff full-time and will be reportedly replaced by Trump 2020 campaign press secretary Kayleigh McEnany.

[…] CNN first reported Grisham’s return to the East Wing. McEnany will be joined on the communications team by Department of Defense press secretary Alyssa Farah and White House chief of Staff Mark Meadows’ top House aide, Ben Williamson.

Farah served as Vice President Mike Pence’s press secretary and as Meadows’ own communications director during a portion of his time at the U.S. House of Representatives and will likely take on the position of director of strategic communications. Williamson, who left Congress for the White House with Meadows, will formally join the communications shop as a senior communications adviser. Hogan Gidley, who served as principle deputy press secretary under both Grisham and her predecessor, Sarah Sanders, will remain in his current post.
