Still Report #923 – VOX Editor Suspended for Pro Violence Comments

from Bill Still

lass=”” >The far-left entertainment website, VOX, has suspended one its editors, Emmett Rensin, for a series of tweets yesterday urging people to riot if Donald Trump came to their town.
Within a few hours after a violent anti-Trump gang descended on peaceful pro-Trump participants in Thursday night’s San Jose rally, Rensin tweeted at 12:03 am:
[insert]
“Destroying property is legitimate. Shouting down is legitimate. Disruption of all events is legitimate. Murder isn’t.”
Then Rensin followed up at 12:06 am:
[insert]
“Advice: If Trump comes to your town, start a riot.”
Surprisingly, the tweet got 300 likes.
Last night, Vox’s editor in chief, Ezra Klein announced that Rensin has been suspended:
“… direct encouragement of riots crosses a line between expressing a contrary opinion and directly encouraging dangerous, illegal activity.”
We have reached out to Mr. Klein asking for the duration of Mr. Rensin’s suspension. So far no response.
I’m still reporting from Washington. Good day.
