The Republicans National Committee and the Trump campaign have more than double the number of registered voters in key states, compared to the numbers in 2016.
The story: President Trump’s re-election campaign and the RNC have registered 100,000 new voters ahead of the 2020 election in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Florida, according to Trump Victory data obtained by Axios. Democrats are still leading in voter registration numbers in these three states but the new voters from Republicans have allowed them to move closer to closing the gap.
The president has gained 133,000 registered voters in Pennsylvania, 87,000 voters in Florida, and 216,410 voters since Election Day 2016. Republicans have also surpassed Democrats’ voter registration numbers in Iowa and Arizona.
