Specific tactics may change, but the playbook is always the same. All over the world, “color revolutions” have featured graffiti, vandalism, arson, rioting, looting and violent clashes will law enforcement officers. The goal of the rioters is to pressure authorities into giving them what they want so that the chaos will stop. And “color revolutions” always feature a highly visible set of colors that are deeply meaningful to the people that are being encouraged to protest.
