A Bold Proposal to Address the Illegal Immigration Crisis: A Bounty System to Enforce Federal Law

The United States is facing an unprecedented crisis at our southern border and throughout the interior of the country. Millions of individuals have entered the U.S. illegally, violating federal law by crossing our borders or overstaying their visas. Among them, over 1 million individuals have received final deportation orders from immigration courts but remain in the country, defying lawful orders to leave. Compounding this problem are the tens of thousands of criminal illegal aliens who have committed felonies in the U.S. and remain at large. The time has come for bold action to enforce the law, protect American citizens, and restore the integrity of our immigration system.

As someone who has spent decades figuring out how to help my clients avoid the consequences of the law, I propose a bounty system to locate, apprehend, and deport illegal aliens who have no legal right to be here. This program would pay $1,000 per individual apprehended, targeting those with deportation orders, criminal convictions, or national security threats. Furthermore, to enhance transparency and public participation, I propose establishing a national database and website listing known illegal aliens, criminal offenders, and individuals deemed threats to national security, along with a sliding scale of reward amounts for information leading to their deportation.

A Centralized Website to Empower Citizens and Assist Law Enforcement

A critical component of this proposal is the creation of a secure, government-operated website that would act as a centralized database of known illegal aliens, criminal offenders, and national security threats. This platform would serve as both a tool for law enforcement and a resource for private citizens, ensuring transparency and accountability in the enforcement process.

Key features of the website would include:

  1. Public Listings:
    • Profiles of individuals with final orders of removal, including their name, photograph, known aliases, last known location, and relevant details about their immigration violations or criminal activities.
    • Separate sections highlighting individuals wanted for serious crimes or posing threats to national security.
  2. Reward Tracking:
    • Each listing would include a bounty amount based on the individual’s threat level or legal status. Rewards could range from $1,000 for standard immigration violations to significantly higher amounts for apprehending dangerous felons or individuals involved in terrorism.
  3. Reporting Tools:
    • A secure system for submitting tips, evidence, or information, ensuring the confidentiality and safety of informants. Verified tips leading to apprehensions would qualify the informant for a reward.
  4. Community Alerts:
    • Notifications for specific regions where high-priority individuals are believed to be located, encouraging local cooperation with law enforcement.

By empowering citizens with information and offering financial incentives for assistance, this website would transform ordinary Americans into active participants in the enforcement process, alleviating pressure on overstretched federal agencies.

Historical and Modern Examples of Successful Bounty Systems

  1. The Capture of Outlaws in the Wild West
In the 19th century, bounty systems played a crucial role in apprehending dangerous criminals on the frontier. Local governments offered monetary rewards for the capture of outlaws, including notorious figures like Jesse James and Billy the Kid. These systems proved highly effective, enabling law enforcement to leverage private citizens’ skills and resources to maintain public safety.
  2. WWII Espionage and Sabotage Rewards
During World War II, the U.S. government used bounty programs to combat espionage and sabotage. Civilians were encouraged to report suspicious activity, and rewards were offered for information leading to the capture of foreign spies. This program led to the identification of numerous saboteurs, protecting American lives and infrastructure during a time of war.
  3. Rewards for Justice Program
The State Department’s Rewards for Justice Program offers millions of dollars for information on terrorists. This system has led to the capture of high-profile individuals, including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and prevented numerous attacks. It demonstrates the power of incentivizing private citizens to assist in law enforcement and national security efforts.
  4. Florida’s Python Bounty Program
Closer to home, Florida’s bounty system for Burmese pythons in the Everglades has been a resounding success. Thousands of invasive snakes have been removed, protecting native ecosystems. While the context is different, this program underscores how targeted incentives can effectively address complex problems.

How the Immigration Bounty System Would Work

The bounty system for immigration enforcement would operate as follows:

  1. Eligibility:
    • The program would focus on individuals with final orders of removal, visa overstays, and those with criminal records or national security concerns.
  2. Database and Transparency:
    • A secure website would list eligible individuals, their profiles, and bounty amounts. Citizens could use this platform to identify individuals in their communities.
  3. Verification and Oversight:
    • Apprehensions would be verified by immigration authorities to ensure compliance with legal standards. The program would include safeguards against false accusations and abuse.
  4. Rewards:
    • Rewards would be distributed promptly to individuals or organizations providing information or directly assisting in apprehensions.

Benefits of the Program

  1. Enhanced Enforcement:
This system would dramatically increase the capacity to locate and apprehend individuals who violate immigration laws or pose threats to public safety.
  2. Cost-Effectiveness:
Offering $1,000 rewards is far less expensive than deploying federal agents for every case, reducing overall enforcement costs.
  3. Public Participation:
A centralized database and financial incentives would engage citizens in the enforcement process, fostering a sense of accountability and shared responsibility.
  4. Deterrence:
Knowing that citizens are actively involved in enforcement would discourage illegal entry and visa overstays.

Addressing Concerns

Critics may raise concerns about potential abuse or privacy violations. To address these issues:

  • Listings on the website would be limited to individuals with final orders of removal, verified criminal convictions, or credible national security threats.
  • The program would include strict oversight, ensuring that actions are consistent with constitutional protections.
  • Individuals wrongfully targeted could challenge their listing through an independent review process.

These safeguards would ensure that the program operates fairly and effectively, without infringing on individual rights.

Conclusion

America is a nation of laws, and those laws must be enforced. Establishing a bounty system, supported by a public database of known illegal aliens and national security threats, would provide a practical, cost-effective solution to the immigration crisis. This initiative would empower citizens, enhance public safety, and restore integrity to our immigration system.

With historical examples of success and modern tools like a centralized website, we can take bold, decisive action to protect our borders and communities. It’s time to act and reclaim control of our immigration system for the safety and well-being of all Americans.

  1. You are a moron and an idiot. Delete me from your list. If you think that people who live on STOLEN LAND are ever EVER “illegal” , there is a special place in hell for you

    • The US government stole this so called USA from native Americans and committed Genocide on The Natives of this so called USA. If you do not like my comments, do not send your emails, and you can head back to Nazy Germany or England and take trump with you. Go see your Uncle Hitler.

      • Which native American tribe are you talking about?
The first ones who were there after crossing the Bering Strait thousands of years ago or the tribe that stole the land from, or the ones after them who stole the land?
Oh, I see… you bitch and moan when your land is taken by a superior force, but don’t care when you steal the land from each other.
        Right.

  2. I cannot believe someone from your ethnic background would promote people reporting other people to authorities. I think you should do some reading about what happened to J3ws in Germany in the 1930s ans 1940s. You are repeating history in the most shocking way.

  3. These “stolen land” comments are hilarious. Land has always ended up belonging to the people who conquered it. Doesn’t matter if it is the USA or Europe or China. Indigenous or otherwise.

As for the bounty hunter idea, I like it because it is no different than a crimestoppers hotline. You want to turn in criminals. Illegal aliens are criminals, period. Doesn’t matter the color of their skin (and I am not white BTW). You either come here legally or not at all.

The reference to WWII in earlier posts is to Jews conflate Jews with illegal aliens and is a common logical fallacy to appeal to emotion. The issue with illegal immigration in the US has nothing to do with ethnicity (or Jews), it is simply about repatriating the people who are here illegally. If it so happens that the majority are “brown”, it is what it is. But there are plenty of other ethnicities here illegally as well and they all need to go.
