Newly Released Audio Reportedly Shows Giuliani Pressuring Ukraine to Announce a Biden Investigation

Rudy Giuliani, who served as former President Trump’s personal attorney, pressured a Ukrainian official to open an investigation into Joe Biden, according to an audio recording obtained by CNN.

The call took place in 2019, in which Giuliani spoke with then-Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker, and Ukraine government official Andriy Yermak, a senior adviser to President Volodymyr Zelensky.

In the leaked audio, Giuliani can be heard telling Yermak and Volker that launching an investigation into the then-Democratic presidential candidate would “clear the air really well,” that he would talk to Trump and ensure the “misunderstandings are put aside” and that the probe “could be a good thing for having a much better relationship.”
