President Joe Biden said that the government might reintroduce more restrictive measures if Americans fail to follow the current recommendations.
The story: Biden made the comments during his first national address on Thursday. His speech also marked the day when the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus a pandemic last year. During the address, Biden again spoke of unity and the importance of following the current measures meant to slow down the spread.
The president repeatedly urged Americans to listen to health experts.
He described this last period as a “dark winter” and announced additional guidance for fully vaccinated people. Biden then warned that if Americans don’t heed the advice of health organizations, the government will opt for tightening the rules.
