High School Football Coach Fired for Privately Questioning Black Lives Matter Curricula

A Massachusetts football coach, who claims he was fired from his job because he objected to Black Lives Matter materials, is now suing the school.

The story: According to the lawsuit, Dave Flynn, who worked as a head football coach at Dedham High School, has two children, a son and a daughter, who went to different schools in the district, Dedham Public School elementary and Dedham Middle School respectively.

Flynn specifically took issue with his daughter’s history curriculum. The lawsuit says that he and his wife noticed, the curriculum’s instruction in their daughter’s world geography and ancient history classes was based on issues such as race, gender, stereotypes, discrimination, and politics, among other social issues. They also saw that the seventh-grade teacher created a cartoon character of herself with a Black Lives Matter T-shirt on.
