Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is considering sanctions against lawyers who sued the state for alleged election fraud and other irregularities in the election process.
The story: Nessel told reporters during a briefing this week that she is looking at sanctions against attorneys and will file complaints with the attorney grievance commission. For lawyers who are not from Michigan, the attorney general said she will send complaints to their appropriate state bar.
In some cases “[w]e’ll be asking for court costs and attorney’s fees,” Nessel said.
Why? Nessel claimed that the lawyers that will be targeted by her actions knowingly twisted the facts about the election process and other allegations that were part of the election lawsuits.
