Democratic lawmakers are calling on Twitter to censor President Trump on the platform until all ballots are counted for the presidential election.
What they’re saying: Democrats argue that the president has been posting “lies” and “misinformation” about the 2020 presidential election and that Twitter should take steps to prevent him.
“Suspend his account, @Twitter. Valid votes are being counted. This is America, not Russia,” Virginia Rep. Gerry Connolly wrote.
[…] Rhode Island’s Rep. David Cicilline, chair of the House antitrust subcommittee, claimed his posts are “a threat to our democracy.”
