The family of the 9-year-old Louisiana student who was suspended over a BB gun earlier last month is suing the school system over the “egregious” decision.
The lawsuit
The family of Ka’Mauri Harrison filed a lawsuit against the Jefferson Parish schools system in Louisiana’s 24th Judicial District Court on Friday seeking monetary damages, a hearing by the school district to address the incident, and an opportunity to allow the fourth-grader to compensate for missed school work.
