Reporters for The New York Times and The Washington Post are encouraging Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden to limit or completely avoid participating in the debates against President Trump.
Washington Post columnist Karen Tumulty recommended “rethinking” the debates to limit their audiences “or even do away with them entirely.”
[…] Tumulty also rebuffed the Trump campaign’s efforts to add a fourth debate this fall, calling it “not a serious proposal.”
The NY Times’ Thomas Friedman advised Biden to avoid participating in the debates unless Trump releases his tax returns and agrees to have a “real-time fact-checking” team present at the debates.
