If you live your life by logic, you are clearly out-of-step with the times. Or, if you live with a knowledge of history, you are also out-of-step with the times.
Seasoned citizens are most likely to fit these conditions. They grew up in a time where reality was not optional. Today, reality has been defined away. Reality conflicts with virtually everything you are taught to believe. Not adhering to the demanded vision of reality can be considered a thought-crime.
“Up” now means “down,” “right” now means “wrong” and history and customs are now considered evil. True reality has been defined away and replaced with a vision of “how things are supposed to be.”
