These are not “my” facts. They are the facts.
[…] Out of the 1046 classified deaths as to underlying causes in NY thus far 1.72% did not have one or more of Diabetes, Lung Disease, Cancer, Immunodeficiency, Heart Disease, Hypertension, Asthma, Kidney Disease and GI/Liver Disease.
Of these my father died of heart disease with hypertension as a co-morbidity.
My mother died of cancer.
My Aunt Marg died of Kidney Disease (formally “renal failure”)
My paternal grandfather was diabetic and hypertensive, and had lung disease (smoking); his brain went before the rest and he spent the last couple of years not recognizing anyone. Literally.
And so on.
By this data only three people over the age of 75 without one or more of those diseases has died in NY. Three.
