Good Day… And a Tub Thumpin’ Thursday to you! I will be able to do some Tub Thumpin’ today, as my infusion this week was switched to tomorrow, just for this week, due to vacations in the doctor’s office. My beloved Cardinals won’t be doing any Tub Thumpin’ today, as their bats went silent again last night, and they lost… UGH! Emerson Lake and Palmer greet me this morning with their song: Still… You Turn Me On… In the early 70’s, ELP was on top of the rock world… I used to spend a lot of time in the car, and had some ELP 8-tracks they got worn out!
Well, did you know that on Rocktober 1st, the U.S. Gov’t was going to have to shut-down because they didn’t have a funding agreement past midnight tomorrow night. I hadn’t really talked about this much because, well, can you say, “What difference does it make?” Yeah, that’s the ticket! You see, I knew Congress would come up with some plan to kick the can down the road, which is exactly what they did, and now the Gov’t will be funded through December 9th… And then it will be kicked further down the road, and so on, and so on… Congress did pass a short-term spending bill but that’s just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, folks… Instead of spending bills, Congress needs to be passing spending reduction bills…
