Still Report #1155 – Trump Leads Clinton by Biggest Margin in a Month

from Bill Still

Good evening, I’m still reporting on political polls.
This morning’s USC/Daybreak Poll shows Donald Trump widening his new lead in dramatic fashion after several days of near-daily lead changes.
Trump leads Clinton by a 45.1 to 42.3% margin – 2.8%. The margin is significant as only 10 weeks remain.
Notice in the graph that Trump is now within about 3 percentage points of piercing above the gray area of the graph where the pollsters would consider him to be virtually unstoppable at that point.
This comes as the New York Times editorial board has blasted the Clintons, demanding they:
“…scale back the activities of the Clinton Foundation — starting now.”
Just after noon today, The Washington Post joined in the sudden turning of the herd with this quote:
“‘Pay-to-play’ charges by Donald Trump have not been proved. But the emails and previous reporting suggest Mr. Trump has reason to say that while Mrs. Clinton was secretary, it was hard to tell where the foundation ended and the State Department began.”
This occurred today, so we can expect another Trump rise when the next Daybreak poll is issued first thing tomorrow.
I’m still reporting from Washington. Good day.

I’m beginning to see the awesome weight of the mantle of the presidency descend on Donald Trump.
