A new Congressional tell-all book reveals that many members of Congress consider that their first job is to raise money for re-election and so they have little time to read legislation.
The book, which will be published in 2 weeks, is titled “The Confessions of Congressman X”. Insiders believe it is written by a Democrat member of Congress.
Only the book jacket text has been released.
“…a devastating inside look at the dark side of Congress as revealed by one of its own.
“No wonder Congressman X wants to remain anonymous for fear of retribution. His admissions are deeply disturbing.”
The book apparently paints a picture eerily similar to that already depicted in this Report.
“Most of my colleagues are dishonest career politicians who revel in the power and special-interest money that’s lavished upon them.”
“Fundraising is so time consuming I seldom read any bills I vote on. Like many of my colleagues, I don’t know how the legislation will be implemented, or what it’ll cost.”
I’m still reporting from Washington. Good day.
