Traders are bidding up Donald Trump’s chances of winning the required number of delegates to clinch the Republican nomination before the GOP convention this summer.
With Trump’s sweep of five Republican primaries on Tuesday night, his chances of bagging the 1,237 delegates required before the July convention were at 77% on PredictIt.
Trump won primaries in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island. Speaking at a victory rally in New York, he said: “I consider myself the presumptive nominee.”
As of about 10:30 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, Trump had 950 of the required delegates. See delegate tracker.
