Project Veritas to Sue CNN for Defamation

The founder of Project Veritas, James O’Keefe, announced this week that the organization intends to sue CNN for defamation.

The story: O’Keefe announced a potential, upcoming lawsuit against CNN during an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity” on Tuesday. The Project Veritas founder singled out the network’s anchor Ana Cabrera, accusing her of lying about the group, saying that she falsely claimed the group was banned from Twitter for misinformation.

“Ana Cabrera is the host that lied about us and said that we were taken down for, she mentioned misinformation, that’s just simply not so. Actual malice is the standard in the United States, we believe we can win against CNN so … I’m announcing on your show, I’m going to sue CNN for defamation,” O’Keefe told host Sean Hannity.

“It’s disgraceful what they’re doing, it’s disgusting, now they’re caught,” he said of the media.
