Twitter appears to be shadowbanning the account of Lin Wood, the lawyer who represents Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old who fatally shot two protesters in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
The story: The shadowban means that users who are not already following Wood on Twitter might find it difficult to find his account or tweets. According to Twitter Shadowban Test, Wood’s username @LLinWood does not appear to people who do not follow the account.
In detail: A search on Twitter for “@LLinWood” shows a few tweets where Wood was tagged but does not show the attorney’s account. Searching for “LLinWood” similarly shows a handful of tweets that feature Wood’s Twitter handle but not his account.
ReclaimTheNet, which reported that no results appeared on Twitter when searching for “@LLinWood” and “LLinWood,” appeared to have typed “(from:@LLinWood)” and “(from:LLinWood)” respectively in the search bar.
