About 1,400 Virginia Voters Accidentally Received Two Absentee Ballots in Mail

About 1,400 voters in Virginia have reportedly mistakenly received two absentee ballots in their mail, multiple outlets reported.

The story: Election officials in Fairfax County said a printing error led to the mailing of the additional ballot and instructed voters to destroy the extra ballot, according to The Washington Post.

[…] The officials assured everyone that there are measures in place to prevent voters from voting twice, but some people are concerned about the possibility of voter fraud amid increased demand for absentee ballots and mail-in voting during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This is what [Trump’s] concerned about and I am too and I wanted to bring it to your attention,” said Jean Brennan, a Trump supporter from Leesburg, Virginia, who said she received two ballots. “My husband just got one and I got two.”
