The Deaths in Wisconsin Are Just the Latest in a String of Fatalities Resulting from Nationwide Riots

Riots have turned deadly in many cities across the country, costing the lives of not only participants of the looting and violence, but also bystanders who were in the right place at the wrong time.

Since late May, when the death of George Floyd sparked nationwide protests and riots, roughly 27 people have died as a result as of late August.

Kenosha, Wisconsin was the epicenter of unrest after the Aug. 23 shooting of Jacob Blake by police. Three people were shot, and two were killed only two days after the incident.
