Is it Wrong to Want Power?

Plenty of people with bad motives (Edward Bernays) or questionable motives (Eleanor Roosevelt) seek and gain power.

But “wiser men, [are] so full of doubts,” about whether or not they should seek influence.

Here is the case that we should all strive to create our own spheres of influence, or else be ruled by the worst people– those who will stop at nothing to hold power over you.
