Members of the Minneapolis City Council, who voted in favor of defunding the police, have reportedly been provided with a private security detail, which costs taxpayers $4,500 a day.

The story: The council members have asked for security details after they started receiving threats, following their support of calls to cut funding to the police and their subsequent unanimous vote on the matter. It costs the city $4,500 in taxpayer money per day and according to Fox News, in the last three weeks, Minneapolis has $63,000 on private security.
