Governors think the Federal Government should simply print up $500 billion and hand it over.
Nope. And those who demand it should be dragged out of office by their hair; either on their head or their pubes.
States are supposed to keep funds back for “rainy days.” Well, it’s been raining. But then the states went further and intentionally destroyed their tax base. That’s a choice, and of course there’s always some justification — this time it’s allegedly “public health.”
Ok, fair and well enough but not material to the point, which is that state, county and local governments should be forced, at gunpoint if necessary, to evaluate both the costs and alleged benefits of their policy decisions.
That’s the only way to make good decisions — you must be held accountable for the good and bad side of them.
