Daily Pfennig
Good Day… And a Happy Friday to one and all! I’m really running late today, but it doesn’t matter, because today’s letter is going to be short-n-sweet. I promise! I’m just plain out of words this week… Well, not words, thoughts would be more like it… I was thinking this morning on my way to work, that when we turn the calendar to 2017, it will mark 25 years that I’ve been writing this letter… That’s right 25 years! I began in 1992, with a hand written letter to the salesmen on the currency trading desk so they could begin their day with an idea of what was going on overseas, and they could get right to the phones and talk to customers. Then Frank Trotter, created a website for the old Mark Twain Bank, and the website needed content… So, we began posting the Pfennig to the website, along with a picture of me… I can’t begin to tell you how cool that was to me… We’re talking 1995 folks… The internet was new, people were seeing and reading things they had never seen before, and there I was with my Pfennig on the internet… So, 2017, will be the 25th year of writing the Pfennig… I bet I have some readers that aren’t even 25! How long have you been a reader? It would be interesting to see who has been reading the Pfennig the longest… In fact, if you have been reading over 10 years, send me a note as to how long you’ve been reading, and we’ll, no wait..
