Good Day… And a Marvelous Monday to you! It was a beautiful-weather-wise weekend here, as the rain held off until Sunday evening. I had SLU family days, and a little d soccer game to attend outside, so I was glad it was nice outside. Sad news of two deaths this weekend, first, Arnold Palmer, the great golfer and person died at 87. A full life for sure. And then Marlins’ pitcher Jose Fernandez in a boating accident. I met Jose last spring at a restaurant in Jupiter, Florida, what a sincerely nice, and life loving person… Cat Stevens greets me this morning with his song: Morning Has Broken… Talk about the perfect song to be the first one on the shuffle play list in the morning!
So, let’s start the last week of September, and of the 3rd QTR.. That’s right, next week, we’ll be in the 4th QTR, pretty strange, if you ask me… Why? Because the year is almost gone, but we do have something that will keep the 4th QTR seeming like it’s going on forever, and that is the U.S. election. We have the 1st debate tonight, I don’t think I’ll be able to find the time to watch it, for my sock drawer needs rearranging! I’m kind of beating around the bush here this morning, because, well, there’s just not a lot to talk about going on in the markets, of currencies, metals and even bonds… Stocks are another animal that I’m sure glad I got out of that side of the business back in 1979… Well, I did that that brief reunion with stocks when I started EverTrade Direct Brokerage, back in 1999…
