Good morning and welcome to the last week of July – where did this month go? I woke up to the sound of late night thunder storms rolling through our area, and thank goodness the thunder woke me up as the power was out (again) so the alarm clock was black. I guess I need to listen to my wife and start using my phone as my alarm. Frank sent me the following to get us going this morning:

This weekend was a reminder that we live in Saint Louis. Looking out the window it looks wonderful. Expansive blue skies deep as sapphires. A few wispy clouds float by every hour. But it’s an illusion. When we sat down in our seats to cheer the Cardinals in the rubber match with the Dodgers it had cooled to 96 degrees. The humidity was near the top of the measurement scale.
