The top story: Chinese insurer Taikang Life is the latest player to join the ranks of Chinese companies making big investments abroad, this time in the global art market. Over the past few weeks, McDonald’s, Yum Brands and Starbucks have all described a new wave of restraint among customers eating out. Ameera David has details.
