Automated Investing: Robo-Advisor Replaces Financial Planner

You can add another job lost to robots to the list: Financial planner.

The private banker that used to help you plan your retirement, build your wealth and pass it down is being replaced by software.

They’re often called robo-advisors, or digital wealth managers.

These are online programs, that simply ask customers questions about who they are and what they are saving for. They then use an algorithm to devise an appropriate investment strategy. Wealthfront is one example.
