Is DuPont create an entire spin-off to duck out of its legal liabilities?

It looks that way.

The chemicals business is a nasty one. Literally. There are all kinds of malicious substances.

One such chemical is perfluorooctanoic acid, otherwise known as PFOA or C8. It’s used in the manufacturing of Teflon, and it’s quite toxic.

Well, for decades DuPont hid the dangers of this chemical and disposed of it in a manner that was absolutely reckless.
