US Vet Sets Himself on Fire in Front of Closed VA Clinic

from RT America

Charles Ingram III was an American veteran who served in both Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. When he returned home to New Jersey, he was in need of psychiatric care. His local VA clinic was the Atlantic County Community Based Outpatient Clinic, which relies on the VA’s Telemedicine program and closes on weekends. On a recent Saturday, Mr. Ingram doused himself in gasoline and set himself on fire on the lawn outside the clinic. He died 9 hours later. The Resident discusses.
