Good afternoon. I’m still reporting on the invasion.
NATO Commander, General Philip Breedlove says that migrants coming up from Turkey and across the Mediterranean to Italy are taking advantage of the migrant crisis to enter Europe disguised as mere refugees.
Air Force Gen. Breedlove also says that ISIS is “spreading like a cancer” across Europe.
Gen. Breedlove is the NATO supreme allied commander in Europe. Yesterday, he told the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee that Russia and the Assad regime are compounding the problem deliberately by conducting airstrikes that drive civilians from their homes.
Referring to the indiscriminate use of weapons by Assad and the Russians, Breedlove said:
“…I can’t find any other reason for them other than to cause refugees to be on the move and make them someone else’s problem.”
Breedlove sais that some 1,500 European natives who had gone to fight with ISIS, have now returned to their native countries, weaponized – that is, equipped with military skills and extremist ideology.
