Google’s Giga Net Goes to San Francisco

Last week, Google announced its latest push to roll out gigabit-speed Internet across the country.

The $500 billion tech giant, which has been flirting with Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) for the title of world’s largest company, started rolling out the giga net nearly six years ago in Kansas City.

Now, it’s been installed in 10 metropolitan areas. And there are plans to roll it out to 10 more. Los Angeles and Chicago were put on the list last year.
