Ahhh, yes. The War on Drugs.
Of course, it isn’t a real war. It’s what the Germans call a sitzkrieg — a phony war. It can’t be lost, because there aren’t any enemies to lose it to.
Therefore, of course, it can’t be won either.
For each drug-peddler the goons of government catch ready to fill the demand, another one shows up the next day to take his or her place.
No matter how many drug dealers the coppers stick in jail, they just keep coming, champing at the bit to be the next Scarface.
