22 States to Cut Off 1 Million People’s Food Stamps

22 states across the US are about to not renew a waiver to a rule that restricts how much assistance people can get in food stamps. The rule was originally put in place by President Bill Clinton, but has been waived since the economic crash in 2007. The rule is about to go back into effect for 22 states, which will leave about one million Americans without the assistance they’ve been relying on. The Resident discusses.
