Dr. Amanda Maxham of the Ayn Rand Institute has a different opinion about GMO’s than you’ll hear elsewhere. She believes they’re a revolution in raising food and that they’re beneficial to mankind. Billions of pounds of corn and other crops have been raised and consumed with no adverse side effects. In addition, many studies have been conducted and all have reached a conclusion similar to hers. Amanda also believes that the commotion over climate change is overdone. While she believes there may be some affect due to man’s industrial activities, it’s clear that the benefits outweigh the negatives and that the climate activists offer no alternatives other than a return to a pre-industrial world.
